The problem was found to be in /ugs/installed_programs.dat which has the
following entry for NX9:

; x" V" A$ G$ E5 e[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Installed Applications]
"Unigraphics V27"="/appls/ugs090/ugii/ugii"


+ i& R  ]* L. W2 l  E9 KIt should have been " Unigraphics V27.0"

Solution
6 _( x8 j+ v5 v6 ^& X: {Edit /ugs/installed_programs.dat, add .0 to "Unigraphics V27"
It should look like example below:
