108. How to change Teamcenter Site ID
After cloning the production environment to update a development environment the
' z' p. Q; A/ j4 Bcustomer had a need to access both environments with the same client. Both
$ u1 \$ k2 P5 m) x1 wenvironments having the same Site ID caused FMS issues.
6 g* \9 t/ i6 g2 Q* `% J6 U3 oTwo sites having the same Site ID could result in customer data being written to the
wrong location and possible data corruption.
In TC10.1.4 and later, you can create a new FMS enterprise ID for your cloned
: d) S0 W' a) Y& g$ {) y1 d# V$ Penvironment which let FMS support to switch between cloned and original environments.
0 ?6 h8 `" U9 n/ A# JAll Teamcenter related services must be stopped.
In a Teamcenter command window execute the generate_site_id utility.
8 {4 `0 v9 C1 W( iExecute install -set_internal_site using the new site id.
; ^( o$ t# j2 o6 r0 a6 CExecute the backup_xmlinfo utility
Locate backup.xml file created from working directory
7 Y- u5 H6 ~7 S0 sOpen this file to validate new Enterprise ID

Update the fmsmaster file(s), including the enterprise id, with the information from the
backup.xml file that was created by the backup_xmlinfo utility.
Restart all Teamcenter services.
