There are several components to the Active Workspace Client.
•    Active Workspace Client data model
The data model is the client-specifi c   model required for the Active Workspace
( v6 W6 ?4 b' e, MClient feature.  It is installed as the Active Workspace extension to the
Corporate Server using Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM).
•    awc.war file
7 _7 J" q6 N* A) u/ NThe awc.war file    is an additional deployment.  This fil e    is generated and
. S+ E& n) c' \configured    by selecting the Active Workspace Client solution in TEM, with all
features that contribute to the Active Workspace Client.
This .war file   can be deployed on the same application server that hosts the
- Y' p2 d. {, K9 T/ c* T! q) ^TC.ear file   and the Teamcenter J2EE middle tier. This is the user facing web
1 q- q7 ~4 |# y9 t, X! lapplication and serves as the host to web proxies that connect to the existing
Teamcenter SOA and File Services. You must deploy the awc.war fil e   on an
/ q6 ]- O0 f3 i, hexisting server, much like the traditional Teamcenter web client (J2EE middle
! n  G& X6 p  q, F$ ]tier).
6 Q) n+ N  A- h$ b- W' T& n•    Visualization Server Manager
& i* ~( P0 `9 ]. Q7 R* mThe Active Workspace Client delivers 3D visualization throUGh a pool of
9 G7 f' I! R6 Q, D5 I$ [& _. ?rendering servers. Each server runs a single Visualization Server Manager
component, which manages as many VisServer rendering processes as required.

# b; ^0 X* N! K; T5 F: P" J5 g- L* bNote       You cannot run the Visualization Server Manager on a virtual machine

•    TcFTSIndexer client
- [! c+ l/ d+ R6 N( _This is a 4-tier client used to export Teamcenter data for importing into the
Solr database. It uses Dispatcher to execute Query, TieExport, Transform
and load operations.  This is installed and configured    by selecting the Full
0 o* |7 C9 D/ K/ d( B. bText Search Indexer feature in TEM, and by installing Dispatcher with
. W" k7 ?6 ]+ }tcftsindexer_queryuids, tcftsindexer_tieexport, tcftsindexer_transform,
$ I0 k2 `5 y$ p: tand tcftsindexer_load services. The TcFTSIndexer is run directly for the
4 P! u$ q# h+ Q1 Y& J6 p$ Iinitial indexing and run periodically (scheduled) for subsequent updates.
  G* _% F; S( F7 }8 V* c$ D& D•    Solr database
; c$ ^8 S# d, m' M* [( fA Solr database is required for storing Teamcenter data for full-text search. This
can be an existing deployment or installed specifically    for use by the Active
3 G. S1 W% g4 \: N% d+ f7 a( r& |Workspace Client. If an existing installation is used, there are configuratio n    and
schema changes required to accommodate the Teamcenter data.
