There are several components to the Active Workspace Client.
•    Active Workspace Client data model
The data model is the client-specifi c   model required for the Active Workspace
Client feature.  It is installed as the Active Workspace extension to the
) `8 \1 e8 S, Q/ \$ V) ICorporate Server using Teamcenter Environment Manager (TEM).
! S$ C5 A7 A8 [& T) R•    awc.war file
The awc.war file    is an additional deployment.  This fil e    is generated and
configured    by selecting the Active Workspace Client solution in TEM, with all
# e. [: D6 I% l* F! ~% S& n: _5 bfeatures that contribute to the Active Workspace Client.
$ N4 A8 s: U! M% c3 i( O' V+ g5 wThis .war file   can be deployed on the same application server that hosts the
+ F5 Z" }6 |6 e; }: b$ Y2 w6 ?TC.ear file   and the Teamcenter J2EE middle tier. This is the user facing web
application and serves as the host to web proxies that connect to the existing
Teamcenter SOA and File Services. You must deploy the awc.war fil e   on an
existing server, much like the traditional Teamcenter web client (J2EE middle
& y2 _- B2 y/ H5 q3 r7 W1 b# utier).
•    Visualization Server Manager
: y' c$ g/ @" r2 Y' O+ GThe Active Workspace Client delivers 3D visualization throUGh a pool of
' Q2 o( N! i5 T# n2 y: O4 Mrendering servers. Each server runs a single Visualization Server Manager
component, which manages as many VisServer rendering processes as required.
For Active Workspace Client 2.0, only a single rendering server is supported.
" I; x* k3 t' _6 E4 o1 DNote       You cannot run the Visualization Server Manager on a virtual machine
as it requires hardware graphics support.

•    TcFTSIndexer client
% O4 J$ f2 L. n4 }1 S2 \5 IThis is a 4-tier client used to export Teamcenter data for importing into the
Solr database. It uses Dispatcher to execute Query, TieExport, Transform
- |7 j2 s# n( J! b  S0 ?% a9 J3 rand load operations.  This is installed and configured    by selecting the Full
2 T( Z% V1 x  e1 S* V& f/ s7 iText Search Indexer feature in TEM, and by installing Dispatcher with
tcftsindexer_queryuids, tcftsindexer_tieexport, tcftsindexer_transform,
  \0 E3 Q1 F) h- ^% Aand tcftsindexer_load services. The TcFTSIndexer is run directly for the
7 M$ |( Z2 Q. j8 E" U. R/ h/ }9 oinitial indexing and run periodically (scheduled) for subsequent updates.
+ M7 q+ _( V+ I•    Solr database
A Solr database is required for storing Teamcenter data for full-text search. This
' }  R, \( y1 l% I1 X! ?* C9 C5 Ncan be an existing deployment or installed specifically    for use by the Active
4 n; m/ Q) X' h1 q$ G! iWorkspace Client. If an existing installation is used, there are configuratio n    and
  \# p# Y" h- ]- [8 t. zschema changes required to accommodate the Teamcenter data.
