How to customize newly added rows in a parts list or bill of material?

You may have encounter the case where you took some time to customize your Parts List and realize your newly added rows did not follow the change.

Once your Parts List is created, there are many different ways to customize it between settings, cell settings…

But if you want to be sure that the settings you applied will still be the same after you add components to your assembly, and update the list, you need to do the following:

Highlight an entire column as seen below

Do the modifications you want, here I want Times New Roman, with a character height of 5

Repeat the same steps for each column to get the following:

Save your Parts List as a template

It will be stored by default in %UGII_BASE_DIR%/UGII/Table_Files

E.g. « D:\SIEMENS\NX 11.0\UGII\table_files\My_Parts_List_metric.prt »

(_metric is added automatically)

Enter this name in the customer defaults for Parts List
